The 2nd Annual Race For Grace was held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Norwin High School in North Huntingdon, PA. The Reflections Of Grace Foundation is appreciative of the generosity of all those involved - committee members, volunteers, sponsors, and participants - who helped to make this event an overwhelming success. Over 950 people registered for the 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk. In addition, several hundred additional participants and volunteers took part in the day’s activities, bringing total attendance to approximately 1,300. We are pleased to share that nearly $55,000 was raised at the event, more than doubling our original goal of $25,000!
As the initial benefit event of the Reflections Of Grace Foundation, the 2nd Annual Race For Grace exceeded all expectations. The outstanding fundraising results helped to place the Foundation in the position of being able to fulfill its mission: raising awareness of pediatric brain cancer, helping children and families affected by the disease, and furthering the search for the cure of pediatric brain tumors, with the hope of finding a cure for all cancers. We offer many thanks to everyone who made this great accomplishment possible. We could not have done it without our team of incredible volunteers and supporters. We look forward to our 3rd Annual Race For Grace 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk, which will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010. Hope to see you there!
