Brief Description
The 6th Annual Race For Grace 5K & 1 Mile Walk benefits the Reflections Of Grace Foundation. Race For Grace and its beneficiary Foundation are named after Grace Elizabeth Ekis, a precious 5-year-old who lost her courageous 13-month battle with a rare cancerous brain tumor on Valentine’s Day 2008. Grace’s cancer was a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a tumor of the brainstem for which there is no known cure and there have been no advances in treatment options for more than 30 years.

Reviews From The 5th Annual Race For Grace:

"This was my first 5K. Challenging course but friendly enough for a first-timer. Very well-organized and for a great cause."

"For a new runner this is a really tough course but I finished without having to walk any of the hills. This is such a well organized event I hope to participate again next year. Very impressive!"

"I think the race is always super organized, with attention to even the smallest details. This is such a worthwhile way to spend time with friends and family, while supporting the Ekis family and countless other families whom they are helping. Thanks for sharing Grace with us. Her legacy lives on."

"Great combination: tough course for the hardcore runners; but walkable for the non-competitive. All of the extra activities and support for the runners could not be better organized! To help raise funds for a great cause and have fun doing it is a win all the way around."

"Challenging course but very rewarding to finish! It is for a wonderful cause; you can tell a lot of effort and planning goes into this event. It's designed for the running participant but lot of activities for families to take part in! GREAT EVENT."
